The Beginning

Farabi Davletchin pursuit of self-mastery began in 1994 at the age of 7. He remembers the moment he first saw Bruce Lee on film. His discipline and command over his body inspired Davletchin to devote his life to martial arts. Davletchin quotes, "I asked my parents to enroll me into a karate dojo, but my mother insisted on enrolling me into a dance studio. We continued to search for other extracurricular options but the only establishment that caught my eye was the Karate dojo, where I would eventually start my martial arts journey. My mother understood I would not accept any other option and allowed me to join." --Farabi

Davletchin found Karate to be far more difficult than he initially anticipated. He was not only younger but smaller than the other students. However, that disadvantage soon proved to be a secret weapon because it pushed him to excel beyond his peers.

In only 2 years Davletchin won his first competition, the Almaty Karate Championship. That accomplishment was not enough and he set his eyes on a new goal. He achieved it when he became the Kazakhstan Karate Champion at the age of 13.

These experiences and changes in his life led to him opening the ‘White Tiger Dojo’ where he shared his experiences, skills and knowledge with young boys and girls. In hopes that they can one day follow the ways of Aikido by establishing harmony within themselves.

Martial Arts

Aikido

Davletchin grew interested in the philosophy behind martial arts and therefore decided to branch out into new disciplines. He then began Aikido and fell in love with its principles. To this day, he is grateful to his first Aikido sensei for imparting the lesson of ‘unity of the mind, body and spirit’. He took this lesson with him and continued to develop himself by extending his studies towards: kickboxing, physical conditioning, powerlifting and bodybuilding.

Sensei Gabriel, a renown Aikido Master, recruited him and another student from Almaty to study at his school in France. Sensei Gabriel's lessons were transformative and pushed Davletchin mentally and physically. This experience led to his new goal. To find his internal Harmony.

“Upon returning home I’d realised that aggression leads only to disharmony and unhappiness. I compiled all of my experiences and skills to invent something completely new - My Aikido.”-- Farabi

Taekwondo and Hapkido

After months of intensive training Davletchin won the Taekwondo Eurasia Championship and later that year the Hapkido Eurasia Championship. The mindset of accepting no limitations led to him also becoming the heavyweight Taekwondo and Hapkido World Champion.

“Accepting my World Championship status brought me back to the victory my 9 year old self felt when winning his first championship.”-- Farabi
